First I glue green crayons on my canvas then melted them downward. I just put hot glue and the canvas then put the crayon on quick before it dried. Then I rolled up tissue paper and newspaper for the flower. I cut off a long strip of tissue paper then rolled it up the long way then I wrapped it around and around to make the flower. One thing I like about it is that I used different shades of green instead of using all dark green o all lime green. Another thing I like is that I did different colored petals for my flowers.
For this project, I used tissue paper to make a flower. One thing I like about this project is that I made it into a flower instead of just throwing random colors on. I like how I used the tissue paper in different ways instead of bunching every piece up, for the petals I just layed the paper flat down. For the pedals, I also put light pink tissue paper over the hot pink so it was layered. First I hot glued crayons on in rainbow order and then I melted them and last I used a sharpie and wrote dream at the bottom in between the colors that had ran. I like how the colors ran down and met with the color next to them so they ran down together. First I started with the feet then went to the arms and stomach and last I drew the head and the eyes. After I drew it with pencil I traced over it with black sharpie then I used colored pencils and outlined everything in either yellow, orange, black, or blue and then lightly colored inside the lines. When I took it home to finish coloring it, it got rained on and the colors started to run together and mix so then I got a different paper and redrew and colored all of it and did the same process to the second one. I really like how it turned out. What was your main take away from Nicky's family? It feels good to help people. He helped the kids and later in life they all came and he was surprised and everybody was thanking him and he got emotional because he realized he had done something very nice. What message from Nicky's family touched you or connected with you? When they came together and surprised him. What was the best part of your day? The scavenger hunt because we got to see all different sculptures and it was a race against the other team What was your favorite public artwork? Inculde a photo of it. (image above) I like this one because it's all different colors What was the main message of the Quakerdale exhibit downstairs? That you're not alone and you can help there's always a place for you Describe to me one piece of artwork from the Quakerdale exhibit. When she played Life because I think it related to the things she might want in life but can't have From the variety of artwork upstairs in the foundations show, which piece did you connect with and why? The cardboard pieces because I've made stuff out of all duct tape and paper but I've never thought about making artwork out of just cardboard Were you inspired by anywork? What are your thoughts on it. The quakerdale because I know some teens that don't have much of a place to live or are in a shelter and I think it's very kind that there is a shelter for those kind of people The social media I chose was vine. A pro about vine is that you can choose who you want to follow and that way you don't have a bunch of strange peoples vines if you don't want. Another pro about vine is that it's bound to give you a good laugh. I really like vine because the vines are really funny and give me a good laugh when I'm having a bad day. For this project I recorded at least 20 short video clips of things I do in a day then imported them into imovie so it flowed from one video to another and made them all into one movie. One thing that was difficult getting the video clips without getting any people in it. One thing that was easy was getting 20 video clips. One thing that surprised me about this project was how well it turned out. I did not think my videos would flow together very well. After watching other classmates videos, I learned that a lot of people end their day the same way they begin it. |
